In 1896, Vilfredo Pareto noticed that 20 percent of his pea plants were producing 80 percent of the peas. He looked at land ownership in Italy and found the same pattern. He kept looking. It kept showing up.
The same pattern shows up in endurance training, and most athletes have it completely backwards.
They're chasing marginal gains, new gear, advanced methodologies, optimization strategies, before they've secured the 20 percent of inputs that drive 80 percent of their results. The foundation isn't complicated. It isn't expensive. And it's probably not what you're focused on.
